We have received the first results of Winky’s tests;
- she is free from the genetic disease 'gangliosidosis type I’
- does not carry the gene responsible for the white color in Shiba
- does not carry the gene responsible for the spotted coat color, called 'pinto’
- carries the gene for long coat – just like her mother and grandmother 🤭 In order for long-coated puppies to be born, a second gene is needed, i.e. the father of the puppies would also have to carry this gene.
